Andy and his team were fantastic to deal with and I would highly recommend them for all your carpentry work – not just decks! We had a pretty tricky job, replacing a c. 6m deck support post, two c. 5m cross beams and some upper deck joists (all using very heavy hardwood) for our two story , c. 135 year old ‘Queenslander’ style timber weatherboard home. Andy is a very skilled carpenter, who was very pleasant to deal with at all times, and was also very prepared to provide me with a few ‘hints and tips’ from an expert so as to assist with the minor DIY works I am undertaking myself (and yes Andy, the Abatron WoodEpox filler sourced from the US is an absolute winner, it is so much better than anything I have used or looked at here in Australia!). Overall Kovacs Carpentry provided both great service and communication, they were also fully professional, as well as very cost competitive, and pretty good with their attention to detail as well! Accordingly, I thoroughly recommend Andy and his team for all of your carpentry works, and will certainly be using them again (that is if I can fit is his, very understandably, busy schedule)!
